A 1930s bay-fronted semi in Heaton Moor with the classic layout for the area — a short frontage to the road and a narrow passage running down the side of the house to a rear gate. Both were taken out and rebuilt together rather than treated as two jobs: dug down to a clean formation, a fresh stone sub-base laid and compacted, then a seamless Daltex Brittany Bronze surface carried straight through from the road, past the bay, up to the front step and on down the side.
