Concrete Driveways

Tough, low-maintenance concrete driveways

A concrete driveway is one of the most hard-wearing surfaces you can lay. Poured and finished on site over a properly prepared base, it gives you a seamless, joint-free surface that shrugs off heavy vehicle use and needs very little looking after.

Classic Stone Driveways installs concrete driveways across Denton, Manchester and the North West — in plain smooth, brushed non-slip, or decorative exposed-aggregate and pattern-imprinted finishes. We build the base right and lay the concrete with the correct falls, joints and reinforcement so it lasts.

Why choose it

Why a concrete driveway

Extremely durable

Correctly laid concrete handles heavy vehicles and years of use without rutting or breaking up.

Low maintenance

No loose stones, no weeds through joints — just an occasional clean to keep it looking smart.

Seamless finish

A poured surface with no blocks or slabs to shift, sink or need re-sanding.

Decorative options

Go beyond plain grey with brushed, exposed-aggregate or pattern-imprinted finishes.

FAQs

Concrete Driveways — frequently asked questions

How long does a concrete driveway last?
A properly laid, reinforced concrete driveway can last 30+ years with minimal maintenance. Movement joints and the right base build-up are key to preventing cracking, which is exactly what we get right.
What’s the difference between concrete and pattern-imprinted concrete?
Both are poured concrete — pattern-imprinted (stamped) concrete is coloured and textured while wet to mimic natural stone, cobbles or brick, then sealed. Plain concrete can be left smooth, brushed or finished as exposed aggregate. We install all of these.
Is concrete a good choice for drainage?
Standard concrete is non-permeable, so we design in the correct falls and, where needed, drainage channels or a soakaway to manage surface water and meet the rules. We’ll advise on the best approach for your site.
What areas do you cover?
We install concrete driveways across Denton, Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester and Cheshire area. Book a free survey and we’ll come to you.
